- ✓ Earthquake list — recent M3.5+ events in CA, NV, OR, and northern Mexico
- ✓ Event detail pages — ShakeMap, GMPE comparisons, Vs30, MMI scale
- ✓ Gazetteer MMI table — localized shaking for 2,000+ named locations
- ✓ Official sources — links to USGS, NCSN, SCSN, Mexico, and Canada
- ✓ Vs30 REST API Site soil stiffness (Vs30) lookups for any location in the supported region — no account required. Values come from three sources: CGS geology (California), Wald topographic proxy (Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and northern Mexico), and a rock-site default of 760 m/s where neither source is available.

What powers the data
ShakeMap Interpolation
USGS ShakeMap grids translated into MMI values for 2,000+ named locations using SciPy interpolation.
NGA-West2 GMPEs
Four peer-reviewed ground motion prediction equations (ASK14, BSSA14, CB14, CY14) run independently on every event for comparison.
Site-Specific Vs30
Shear-wave velocity from SCEC UCVM (geology-based for CA) and Wald topographic proxy (NV, OR, MX) for more accurate site amplification.
